Bottle from Vine & Grain. Appearance - jet black with an attractive tan to fawn head. Nose - deep, dark chocolate with an edge of dried fruit. Taste - luscious dark chocolate, cream, some raisin and caramel. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture. Just enough roast on the finish to give it balance. Overall - nice.

Bottle ordered from Vittles & Company, 'Ull. Aroma has dark chocolate but also coffee and liqourice. A hint of dark berries. Glossy and inky. Foamy beige head soon recedes. Initial sour hit, which then smooths out. Medium bitterness then appears. Dark berries and equally dark chocolate/bitter cacao. Underlying coffee and malts. Roastiness in the finish. Light bodied. Watery. Fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Despite being thin this is a ballsy Porter.
