Adding in my old ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Now this one was a failure - never rebrewed and I believe the last porter/stout they have bothered brewing. Weak stuff. The Squirrel, Farnborough.

Cask-conditioned,on gravity, at the Grove, Ealing 31/10/2014. Near black in colour, with next to no head. Aroma of plum fruit, with a touch of sweetness. Flavour had some dense malts and more fruit, before a gentle finish with touch of toastiness. Enjoyable.

Cask at the Tilly Shilling (JDW), Farnborough. A deep plummy purple brown aith a ring of beige head; the stewed fruit aroma and the appearance give the impression that this has been made with stewed prunes rather than fresh damsons; the taste confirms this, it’s syrupy sweet and lacks the sharpness of fresh fruit; the finish is dry with a trace of spice. Pleasant enough, but I’ve had better damson porters.
