Bottle from Hoptimism. Aroma combines chocolate malts with spice and vinous hints. Opaque dark brown. Somewhat cloudy. Thick saving foam light beige head. Medium-heavy bitter. Dark chocolate with rye spice. Underlying burnt caramel adds sweetness. Some berry sourness into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Thin. Softy and very fizzy carbonation. Slightly astringent finish. Goes down a treat - the rye compliments the (not so) sweetness of a Brown Ale.

Bottle. Hoptimism. Opens with a big hiss. Dark, cola brown. Light haze. Thin, dense, lasting, beige head. Nose has coffee beans. Dark vine fruit. Milk chocolate. Earthy hop leaf. Taste is tart, light dry, and earthy, vinous bitter. Medium body. Super foamy carbonation. Light bitter finish.
