We steeped Brazilian Bobolink coffee beans overnight to create a flavoursome yet gentle cold brewed coffee, then blended with a milk stout in fermenter to create a well-balanced coffee flavour & aroma on this easy drinking, low ABV stout.

10/12/2019. On tap at Kill The Cat, Brick Lane. Pours mid to dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt and tropical fruit. Moderate sweetness, light roasted bitterness and a touch of sour. Moderate body, watery texture, average carbonation.

Keg at Hop Locker. Milky mocha aroma. Dark with a cola tint. Creamy beige head recedes. Light bitter with some sourness, develops some creamy sweetness. Watered down coffee with a touch of tobacco. Light-medium bodied. Creamy... if watered down. Flat carbonation. Long finish. Not overly keen. Not horrible but warrants my third use of the phrase, Watered down. Nice idea but not quite there.

Keg at HL1, 16/08/19. Light black with a beige cap that dissipates edgeward. Nose is coffee grinds, cocoa powder, burnt toffee, dark malts. Taste comprises light charr, roast malts, ashen tones, cocoa sprinkle, lighter coffee presence than on the aroma. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent coffee affair for the ABV.

Tap at the brewery, 9th August 19. Pours a black stout, quite light. Aroma is quality coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is full and lots of coffee, smooth, quite light, drinkable and good for the abv
