Bought from the bottle list at White Horse Inn, Edwardstone. Vinous but tempered by vanilla and an almost smoky element. Dark and glossy. The thin beige head just forms a ring. Sour vinous impact. Underlying bitterness. Hints of sweetness on the fringes. As it warms up the sourness smooths out with the oak becoming evident in the taste and the vanilla in the aroma. Light bodied. Slick if thin. Flat carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Sour sipper - sit back and enjoy.

Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Clear, deep brown. Slim ring of beige sticks to the glass. Nose has blackcurrant and liquorice. New leather. Wood bark. Lemon pip. Old wood. Lots going off here. Taste is light, vinegary sour, with a touch of vanilla sweetness. Medium body. A little oily. Low carbonation. Tart, with an unripe fruit bitterness to finish.
