Keg at Mother Kelly's SE1. Odd sour milk aroma... unlike other reviews?! Jet black. Decent beige head. Light bitter at first but always restrained. Coffee. Liquorice. Chocolate. Thick bodied. Oily. Average carbonation. Long astri ngent finish. Hides the ABV well. Not in your face. Decent if not overly exciting.

Keg at the Hop Locker - London. Pours oily black with a small, bubbly beige head. Moderate roast in the snout, some ash, burnt marshmallows. Medium sweet flavour with rich chocolate, more ashy roast, baking cocoa, raisins, torched woody dryness. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Finishes bittersweet, a little sticky, with more ashy roast, charred wood, baking cocoa, scorched earth, hints of dried berries. Very decent overall.

Keg at HL1, 09/03/18. Black with a tan head that dissipates over time. Nose is molasses, roast malts, dark chocolate, spice, dried fruits. Taste comprises dark malts, toffee fudge, liquorice, tar, mellow roast, vanilla, chocolate, light charr. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a warming alcohol kiss. Competent impy stout.
