Roast and coffee with some mocha. Plenty of booze. Decent but not something amazing. Black pour with ok mocha head. Boozy sweet finish with bitter aftertaste. A little off balance. Can.

Draught at Napper Tandys Rozzie, 12/30/18.
Some clarity to this otherwise espresso bean colored stout with a rapidly dissipating, light tan head.
Nose is the expected milk chocolate, fudge and espresso bean with low lactose character and low fruitiness (prune, raisin, plum) in general. More of the chocolate-caramel-fudge-vanilla here. No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it's soft, watery even, with low carbonation and a soft, velvety texture. Sweet, not intensely so, with no syrup or thick fudge. Maple, caramel, fudge, milk chocolate and light-to-moderate roast give a pretty standard rendition of the sweet stout without much lactose presence. Low on the dark fruits. The carbonation was super low and the texture loose and watery, but otherwise this was pretty solid.

Draft taster pour at NH Brewfest. Appearance is very dark brown--almost opaque black--with thin ring of light brown head, no discernible sparkle. Aroma is really nice mix of fudgy chocolate and coffee, roasted malt. Taste is nice coffee, chocolate, like a chocolate-covered espresso bean. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with smooth texture, creamy, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, strong, delicious flavors and comforting palate. Not complex but very good at what it does.
