Pint can pours with a near clear gold body that supports an off white head of foam. The aroma offers up an inviting blend of pineapple, tangelo and onion. The taste delivers bitter spicy onion and grapefruit mixed with smooth mildly soft sweet juicy tangelo and pineapple. This works well with no sense of the ABV. It picks up a faint cracker oat sensation into the finish that takes this to another level. Nice. Really nice.

Keg a tight Bottlecraft - San Diego. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. A little French onion in the nose, tangerine, melon. Medium sweet flavour with mild bitter lemon rind, some angel food cake, ripening citrus fruits, grapefruit and tangerine. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some pale bread, ripe lemon, grapefruit, nips of lemon drizzle. Good stuff overall.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours orangey gold with a white head. Aroma is citrus/pine and grassy. Not much fruit or earth. Med + body. Very smooth/slick feel. Flavor is lemongrass? Wants to be dank and comes close. It’s very hoppy, but the bitterness is smooth. Mild hop burn, but smooth. Clean. Get’s grassier with time. Really nice. Malt? Suddenly I noticed it. A bit roasty. This is very good ale. Get it if you can.

(On tap @ Bottlecraft North Park, SD, Apr 4/17) Pours a moderately hazy medium orange with an average white head and spotty lace. Aroma is pine, leafy hops, grapefruit peel, lightly dank, earthy, a little sweet tropical fruit, some caramel. Flavour is pine needles, slightly weedy and leafy, lots of citrus peels, light sweet and floral tropical fruit, a bit of a malty core. Finish is fairly high bitterness with pine, resin, pith and some drying alcohol. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Solid, but a bit less bright and high on the bittering hops than is my preference.
