Mostly clear golden and light peach coloured body with a thinnish off-white head that fades pretty quickly and leaves a light lace on the sides. Aroma of strong citrus fruits, light pine and flowers with a noticeable bit of tropical fruits as well, with some nice assertive hoppy notes showing some alpha acids and even some sugars in the nose. Medium-bodied; Strong rich hops show at first with the grassy, citrus and floral notes all at first and some good hop bitterness, balanced out effectively by the pretty easy-drinking, but noticeable malts and finished with some light sugars of honey and caster sugar. Aftertaste shows a bit more of the hops with a pleasant bitterness that will remind you that you are on the West Coast, but not enough to compete with the IPAs of old, still this is balanced nicely and showing some rich hops. Overall, a nice and enjoyable IPA that hits the marks nicely, but especially for the balance. Good to try, especially very fresh - get it and drink it right away, this one probably isn't worth carrying in your suitcase across the country - I'm glad I drank it here! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fairfield, California on 28-August-2022 for US$3,00 sampled in my hotel room here in San Francisco, California just a few hours later on 28-August-2022.

Tap at Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City. Aroma of lemon and tropical fruit dominate. Moderate pine in support. Clear light gold with a moderate sized, fluffy head that fades to a collar with dusting across the top. Flavor has more pine and cracker, with the tropical aspects more in reserved. Malt is crisp white cracker. Excellent and crushable.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours light translucent gold with a slight, transient white head. Aroma of peppery pine? Med + body. Flavor is citrus, maybe even zest, with arguably pine and some hot bits. Not totally dry, a little bready caramel sweetness lurks in the depths that hint of lurking dankness. Lots of hop. Not harsh. Decently bitter. This is wow stuff.
