Nitro tap at The Davis Deer Shoppe. Pours chocolate color with a creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and cinnamon. Lots of cinnamon. Med plus body. Flavor starts chocolate, gets chilies and then cinnamon pops in in large quantities. Nice balance of spice/chilie/chocolate.

This beer is extremely unique. I don't know what to call it other than some herb that is large on the nose. Coriander? It's tough to put a finger on it. However, it is spicy, with habaneros or something similar. If you like spice, this is your beer, it made my nose runny. Berkeley.

[2/1/16] Draught at Hop Grenade in Concord. Black with a light brown head. Great big chocolate aroma. Sweet flavor with chocolate, spicy, hot chili in the throat. Good, but I donβt like the chili.

On tap at whole foods. Opaque jet black coloured pour with a creamy uniform light tan head. Aroma is nice chocolate coco powder, a little tart fruit. Flavour is composed of sweet chocolate, drinking chocolate, brown sugars, mild spicy chilli heat tingling the tongue. Some tart berry fruit. Heat lingering. Palate is smooth and creamy, nitro, sweet. Good chilli choc combo. A little sweet.

Tap at The Office. Strong chocolate on both aroma and flavor. Flavor is more like a powdered chocolate mix. Chili stands out to mix with the chocolate. Opaque with huge brown head.

Draft. Nitro. Black beer with a light brown nitro head. Chili and chocolate aroma with light roast. Light chocolate and light chili flavor. Medium-light bodied. Light chocolate and light chili lingers with light caramel. Had this again as Mexican Hot Chocolate: 7 4 8 3 16 (Much better). Black beer with a tan nitro head. Chocolate aroma. Chocolate and cayenne spice flavor with lactose. Medium bodied. Chocolate and lactose lingers with spice.

Tap. Pours deep mahogany, small tan head, dissipates quickly, some lacing. Aroma is roasty, chocolate, chili peppers. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, a bit of pepper late on the back of the throat. Hints of tobacco. Fairly light body. Not much cinnamon to be found.
