Can from CraftShack. Pours dark ruddy copper with a slight tan head. Aroma of sweetish malt and perhaps rye. Med + body. Flavor is sweetish malt with a good amount of rye spice and a lot of citrus/pine. Pretty far from dry, and the bitter can’t quite obliterate the malt, but the rye and hop do a good job in pushing the malt towards the background. Given the mouth feel and the flavor, I’d say "Velvet" is justified.

New batch on tap. Pours with a hazy orange body with a tight tan head. Aroma is hoppy, rye, citrus, grass and caramel. The flavor is malty, bready, hoppy, Caramel and citrus. Pretty good Imperial Red. Medium body, lively bubbles, dry finish with a lasting bitterness.
