Expensive as all hell 22oz bomber pours with a mahogany to deep ruby red amber colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up sweet smelling smooth Cognac dark fruity booze flowing into plums, dates and a bit of booze and oak. The taste delivers smooth slick sweet prune and date softened Cognac. It then picks up a thin nectar sweet plum like Cognac as a modest booziness and spicy oak note hits. This isn’t all that complex but it’s still a nice smooth sipper.

Bomber from Final Gravity in Roseville, CA. Pours brown with a slight beige head. Aroma of brandy and brown sugar. It’s a wow aroma. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is brandy, brown sugar, maybe treacle, and something making me think of chocolate. Overall it’s making me think of sherry. There’s heat, but it’s not strong enough to mess with the flavors. With time and a lot of effort I think I get a bit of musty wood. Maybe. It’s not dry, but neither is it sticky. It’s not bitter, but the brandy serves to offset the malt. All in all it’s a pretty impressive ale. Quite warming. :)
