Sample at the brewpub. Slightly hazy amber-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of Grapefruit, piney hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, citrus and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle from Bine & Vine opened with my 1981 vintage Mickey Mouse opener. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of white grapes and spicy/earthy something. Med + body. Flavor is white grapes, earthy, spicy, maybe some citrus. It is very dry. It is really rather bitter. Not exciting. Probably not complex. But heavy duty ale! Wish we had local distribution.

Pour is a murky orange with a large white head. Aroma is some melon and white grape hop with a bit of caramel malt. Flavor is again with some white grape hops but there is a strong caramel malt sweet backbone. This says it was put in the bottle on 11/16 and it’s dissapointing that it’s already turned into a malt bomb. Drink as fresh as possible, I guess.

Bottle thanks to Nolen. Pours clear golden apple, small off-white head, dissipates quickly, good lacing Aroma is pot, pot, pot, pine, dankness. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, dank as hell. Light body. Quite interesting.
