Brewing a barley wine was on our wish list for quite some time, and here it finally is! A big fat American Barley Wine brewed with Italian Biscotti biscuits and almonds. The beer is dark orange in color, with marmalade-like flavours: Rich, sticky, sweet, malty and bitter. The Biscotti biscuits and almonds give the beer a surprising twist. Part of this beer will be aged on fresh Calvados barrels, so keep an eye open for the BA-version!

Can. Clear deep amber beer, good tan head. Fruity almond nose. Light smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation coming through on the back end. Smooth caramel and cream malts. Yeah - good biscotti almond vibe that goes well with some bouncy ripe fruits on the back end. Smooth light finish. Nice but simplistic barleywine.

0,33 l blikje. Dark copper in the glass with a steady and nearly two finger pale beige head. Looks really good. Almonds and cherry on the nose. Taste starts also with cherry and almonds, sweet marmelade cookies but increasing dry roasted malty bitterness.Low to no catrbonation. Really nice stuff!
