0,375 l bottle from Karens Blomster, Oksbøl. Thanks to Tommy for his advice. Bottle no. 826. Low gushing effect. A darkest reddish in the glass with a pale beige head. Dark malty smell and more on the winery side than Bourbon barrel. Cherry fruity. Taste starts also malty, fruity with some licorice, barrel wood, low whisky, hints of brett. Some dry bitterness in the aftertaste. Nearly no carbonation as expected. Very nice. Beer of the night.

Clear dark amber, light beige head. Wood, malt, caramel aroma. Malty flavour, light roast and licorice, some wood and quite pleasant notes of whisky. Rather nice, another good one from West Brew.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a clear, dark reddish amber with a small beige head - a nice looking beer indeed. Very distincy oak in the nose, but smooth - no rough tannins here. Rather rich, malty and smooth body, subtle roast playing nicely up against the oak with distinct and pleasant underlying notes of the whisky. Oaky tannins growing a little stronger through the beer, but it remains a very delicious and pleasant experience. A good example of barrel aging a small beer can can come out really well. 250620
