Dark & delicious. HBC472, Sorachi & Cascade hops give loads of roasted coffee, wood barrel & pine notes.

Bottle at home, thanks to Mum and Dad who picked it up from the brewery, 09/04/2026.
Pitch black with a good sized lasting khaki head.
Nose is rich roast, chocolate, dusty hops, liquorice.
Taste comprises roast malts, chocolate biscuit, charr, earthy, hops.
Medium bodied, fine massaging carbonation, light drying close.
Solid stout ... shades of a CDA peeping through.

Third of a pint at the 32nd Shrewsbury Beer Festival on 26th September 2024. Almost black with a beige head, looks a mean Stout and I suppose it is. Roasted/toasted malty front with both chocolate and coffee esters/flavours showing, some hidden leather, earthy notes arrive before a fairly dry finish.

Dark brown, near black, with a frothy tan head. Has a touch of chocolate and treacle on the nose. Taste is roasted malt with dry bitterness, some coffee, dark fruit and chocolate action going on
