Clear and golden with a frothy/bubbly white head and a subtle grassy aroma. Light and fizzy, grassy with some subtle lemony sweetness and soft hoppy bitterness in the finish.

On tap at Craft Beer Oasis, Crewe. Pours a lemon yellow with a small white head and good lacing. The nose has grains and malt – plus hints of boiled vegetables (!). In the mouth it has a juicy texture with low carbonation. Flavour starts off as simply bread rolls, but later on there are some herbs and spices to be found. This is what lager should taste like !

Keg at the Lord Clifden in Hockley. Pours clear gold with a white head and lots of carbonation. Aroma is grass and hay with a little lemon and malt. Taste is pretty malty with a nice fresh taste. Decent enough.

Keg at The Bell Ivychurch. Clear pale gold. Some lager malt on aroma. Lemon flavour and more lemon on the finish. It’s a typical dortmunder. Fine. Not too exciting. Refreshing.

Keg at Lord Clifden; clear golden yellow pour with a creamy white head, aroma has sweet malts and a tiny hint of citrus, taste has fairly robust malt action, sweet toffee and a hint of lemon.
