Bottle from the brewery. Hazy brown pour, with reddish hues. No head due to it bekf a still beer. Aroma is dark candied fruit, brown sugar, maple, sherry. Very much a maple barley wine. Incredibly sweet, but not in a way that make it undrinkabke. Alcohol is well hidden, a nice late night sipper.

250mL bottle. Pours murky light brown with no head. Tons of maple sugar on the nose, good malt profile, some booze. Flavour has a ton of maple sugars, prominent booze; malts are very much in the background. Very sweet, bordering on brutal. Not elegant, but enjoyable as a dessert beer in small doses.

Poured from 250mL bottle (thanks Taylor). Hazy copper brown with no head. Nose is bit lacking with very feint maple syrup, some acidic apple and raisin notes. Taste is huge maple syrup upfront, it is a touch cloying, but the taste is really where this shines (provided you like maple syrup), lightly burnt toffee undernotes. Other than that, it's an above average, very sweet barley wine. Definitely something to share.

250mL bottle, pours dark mahogany with no head. Nose is pure maple syrup, with toffee and caramel. Flavour is ridiculously cloyingly sweet -- it tastes like pure maple syrup, with little else. This is like drinking pure maple syrup that's been slightly watered down. Totally unpalatable.

A red copper barley wine with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with vinous notes, maple, alcohol warmth, vanilla, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with maple vinous character, alcohol warmth, light balsamic, very nice and rich. Bottle from Clandestin.
