Freshly bottled by Quack-Duck: Amber coloured, almost clear, firm medium-sized off-white head; moderate to solid toasty-caramelly nose with a tinge of nuts and aromatic hops in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, smooth; lingering, toasty and "woody" hoppy finish. Really good........

(from the 5 Liter can, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and slightly worty cara-malty aroma with shades of herbal hops far in the background. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Caramel-malty base with light bready and crusty notes; medium-dry sweet-bitter malt-accented finish with a shy but still present herbal hops character. Clean and solid brew. 14.IV.10

Draught at the brewpub as Märzen. Cloudy dark copper colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is malty and slightly sweet. Does not taste as if it has a higher ABV than other beers, but still nice. 6 3 7 3 16

draught at the Brauereiausschank on Hauptstraße in Dresden-Neustadt. Hazy amber-golden colour, large woff-white head. Aroma of honey and caramel. Full-bodied, delicious malt base with lots of honey and caramel. Very slightly fruity before the resiny-citrusy hops blend in. A delicious example of the style.
