750 c&c from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma caused shivers - not so strong as those from BFM ales, but there’s a similarity. Acidic, red fruits and wood. Med + body. It’s very like a BFM, but without so much acidic impact. Heat isn’t an issue. It is acidic, and it is woody, and it is fruity, and it is a bit lactic. There’s a sort of murky essence coming out of the finish. Seems a mix of musty oak and dark jammy fruit. This stuff isn’t bitter, and it’s not all that dry. It is a moderately sour red/brown ale. I think many brewers from Flanders would be proud to have it be their own.
