The best of two beer worlds, Kölsch is brewed in the same way as a lager but with top fermenting ale yeast. The result is the crisp clean character of a lager beautifully combined with the full flavours of an ale. Hopped with German Tettnang and Hallertau Blanc hops.

330ml can from the brewery, BBE May 2019. Poured into an old, tall (0.2 litre) 'Gaffel Kolsch' glass at home on 18th June 2018. Very pale blonde, clean and clear, large bubbles join to give a huge white head. No aroma, no taste, just like a real Kolsch! To be fair this is a refreshing, crisp Kolsch like beer and was never going to be a depth of flavour or heavy body. It's fine for the style.
