Pint can pours with a slightly hazy gold body that supports a nice white head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up a nice load of citrus and tropical notes like grapefruit, a slice of tangerine, cantaloupe and pineapple. The taste delivers a medley of bitter fruity hoppiness from grapefruit, a dash of lime, under ripe pineapple and orange peel. Behind those notes are thin softer sweet layers of juicy cantaloupe and mango. Solid IPA with a pleasing fresh citrus hop bite.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy dark gold with a white head. Aroma of fruit and citrus. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor is fruit, citrus, maybe pine - verging on dank, and more so with time. Quite bitter. There’s an aspect like chewing on citrus zest. Claimstake doesn’t stint on ingredients. It’s really great. Glad I got the beer commemorating the relationship between brewer and provider. It’s special in more ways than one.
