Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. malt and light grapefruit aroma. Light grapefruit and light pine flavor with light malt. Medium bodied. Light grapefruit and light pine linger.

Bottle pour into tulip glass from Trader Joe’s. Aroma is strong bready and cracker malt base with weaker fruit and resin hops. Appearance is clear amber with decent sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with poor retention but nice lacing. Taste is moderately strong malty breadiness balanced with minimal resinous bitterness. Palate is light bodied with thin, sticky texture, average to soft carbonation with dry finish. Overall, this is OK and true to the style but not very interesting.

Bottle from the Trader Joe’s in Davis, CA. Pours orange tinged gold with a white head. Aroma of citrus and light stone fruit. Med body or so. Flavor is citrus, a bit spicy, somewhat fruity, and the backbone is slightly roasty malt. So it fits the style, and it tastes as good as many APAs.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s Charlottesville. Clear golden amber, large foamy off-white head. Good retention. Aroma of floral, citrus hops and toasted malt. The taste is citrus hops and toasted malt. Thin-medium bodied. Decent

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Tropical fruit and caramel aromas. Dry with caramel and mango upfront turning to mild pith in the medium length finish.
