Poured deep brown black. Dark chocolate, rye whiskey, barrel wood, vanilla. Really excellent

Bottle shared at the October 2023 PS tasting, 10/14/23. Black, medium tan head, average retention. Aroma of cocoa, roast, maple, vanilla, oak, rye, whiskey. Taste is chocolate, roast, oak, rye, raisin, vanilla. Mild booze, well balanced. My favorite of the tasting, but it came in 2nd.

Soil, pecan nose. Black, thin beige head. Charred oak, coffee, raisin, almond. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice complexity but missing intensity. Far too subtle.

Bottle at the DC post-Thanksgiving 2021 gathering. Poured a dark brown color with a very small tan head. Aroma was smooth barrel notes, roasted chocolate malts. Big rye notes. Flavor was smooth vanilla, woody notes. Chocolate, with some boozy notes. Caramel.

50cl bottle pours a murky brown with legs and no head. Nose has brownie and cocoa, molasses and booze. Flavor is rootbeer and cocoa, brownie and booze, caramel too. Full bodied, sweet finish.

Really nice barrel tone. Smooth and easy drinking for the ABV. Vanilla oak, sweet chocolate. Really good.

Roast and rye whiskey. Black pour with good head. Some caramel. Bittersweet finish. Plenty of booze and some sweetness, liquid caramel.
