Fra tidlig tid er Jels Voldsted kendt som Jarls Borg. Godt placeret ved Hærvejen har borgen haft stor betydning for både handel og unge krigere med eventyrlyst. I dag er Jels bedst kendt for det årlige vikingespil. Se mere på jelsvikingespil.dk.

0,5 l bottle from Kvickly, Vejen. Murky amber in the glass, small light beige short living head. Low malty aroma, little bit fruity. Taste starts malty, fruity background. Mid bitterness. Low carbonated. Another beer from the brewery that can not convince.

Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy and light yeasty aroma. Light bitter flavor. Short light bitter finish. Watery palate and fizzy.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Hyldals Jarls Borg ].Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, caramelized malt, moderate yeasty, belgium yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, candy, belgium yeast, sweet yeast, caramelized malt, yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20180414] 5-3-5-3-10

Bottle @Ulfborg Tasting. Murky maber, small offwhite head. Mild fruity, yeasty aroma. Yeasty, slighly fruity flavour. Light spice and a little banana. A little light.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, dark amber with a dense, beige head. Nose has subtle Belgian yeast. Medium body, soft on the palate, a little nuts, dried fruit and chocolate. Neat carbonation, perfectly balanced bitterness - clearly the best from this brewer yet. 130318
