Pours a rich Black from a tap with dark brown head. Nice toasty, almost burnt aroma, deep nuttiness. Similar flavor, initial sweetness retreats before an onslaught of strong bitterness, to turn a beer review kind of phrase. Thick mouthfeel, chewy. Pretty good beer.

Can at the brewery, 7/16/16.
Dark chocolate body tends to a deep tan on the edges, with a small tan head showing moderate to low retention. Good clarity.
Coffee is immediately noted and it’s soft, easygoing and full of chocolate, plum and mild roast. Just as it should be. Dark chocolate, moderate roast and a touch of ash/char slowly dissolve in to a finish full of fudge and vanilla with even a touch of spiciness (must be the cinnamon, though it’s tastefully done and isn’t really noticeable as such). Nice balance, and very relaxed for a stout. I get tired of the heavy alcohol/roast/fudge monsters.
Soft, lightly watery, mildly sweet and still well-attenuated with a pleasing vanilla flavor, no cinnamon that I can find and a big coffee finish showing light fudge, roast, earth and plum-raisin. Almost foreign stout-like and really tastefully done on the adjuncts. It’s easy to overdo one of them, let alone three of them. Medium bodied, low carbonation, very drinkable.
