Light copper-golden with softer hay/flax hues. Light haziness and a small white head atop showing medium retention.
Very funky, dank, spicy, green, marajuana-esque nose. Not sure what’s in here, but smells like some combination of mosaic and motueka, among others. Almost like tea tree oil, with peach, wet leaves and light pine. Biscuity malts in the background slowly surge forth adding more and more honey until it even takes on a slight sweet marmalade character from the nose (I believe it’s 100% maris otter malted). But it doesn’t come off too malty, thankfully.
In the flavor, the oily, dank, lemony-citric notes continue with more dry leaf, wood and orange zest oil. Sweetness does just enough to balance without getting dominant or fatiguing the palate. Low but tight carbonation. Weird and experimental and oddly good.
