A hazy golden appearance with a violet tinge and a large white head that steadily dissipates.
Blueberry very strong in the nose, though I wouldn’t go as far as to call it sugary. It still smells like real blueberry juice, though the honey is there as well, and it seems like it didn’t get quite as much attenuation as would have benefited the brett (which is very masked as a result). Some mineral and earthiness, but lots of fruit and only minor tart acids.
In the flavor it’s definitely got some sugariness, with a slightly powdered sugar-like character at times giving it that candyish feel. I don’t think it was medicinal though, probably just the interplay of the phenols from the honey fermentation and brett character. Lots of blueberry, with a rather thick body for what I’d like here (dry, crisp, tart, light). No alcohol noted.
