Draught at EBF, 2/5/16.
Very good clarity in this bronze-copper colored beer. White head atop is small but shows moderately-high retention.
A good dose of both hop and pepper, playing nicely in the nose. Fresh, serrano-like flesh, light and well-extracted in the aroma brings interest while it transitions somewhat in to a light pine-citrus (though not resinous) finish with light nectarine, bits of earthiness and some lightly sweet, honey notes from the malt behind it. No alcohol or flaw.
Quite light and well-attenuated, though with enough pale malt remaining to give a soft texture, bits of honey and bread adding flavor. Lightly spicy peppers, with very light heat and tons of fresh, fleshy pepper character permeate the beer, with light pine, lemon, and a bit of herbal/floral character as well. Moderate carbonation, mostly tight and a lightly grainy-to-lightly-malty texture. Moderate bitterness, little heat lingering. Well done!
