Draught at the brewery, 4/14/17.
Clear, light-amber with a small, white head of moderate retention.
Caramel malts and base malts mix about to add light bread, honey and vanilla with just a touch of peppery phenol from the honey fermentation. Dusty, very light hops are almost non-existent and add a touch of spicy herbal character. No alcohol or flaw.
Very straightforward amber ale. The honey doesn’t lighten the body too much, thankfully and the beer still has a reasonably malty texture. Brown bread, honey, biscuit and very light spice with a touch of fresh herbs and yeast on the finish. Well-attenuated and quite drinkable. Very straightforward with no alcohol or flaws.
