Draught at Buk’s Boston, 3/21/17.
Light hay-flaxen golden body shows a very light haze and a small, white head atop with moderate retention.
Pineapple, grainy cereal mixed with buttercream and lightly juicy melon and mango all show off a lot more depth than expected from this hop. The malt is interesting as well, and despite there being some obvious diacetyl here, it certainly adds an interesting character to the beer.
In the mouth it’s juicy with light popcorn at times but yet somehow still endearingly enjoyable. Mango, lime, kiwi and such with honey, cereal-like character and a soft, malty texture. Good dryness, no alcohol, no resin and low but engaging carbonation. Weird but good. Or very good but with some diacetyl, is perhaps more accurate.

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. Bright white creamy head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Bready malt and hay aromas. Thin and crisp with sourdough and plums upfront turning dry in the medium length finish.
