Large, white head tops a lightly hazy, pale-golden body. Retention is moderate.
Soft, somewhat sweaty hops in the nose are joined by dough, biscuit, moderate fruitiness (peach, apple, apricot) and a smattering of light honey. There’s a lovely lime-pineapple character to it, overarching everything, that I wish was more prominent. Otherwise, no alcohol or flaw and could use just a touch more juiciness to it.
In the mouth it’s tightly carbonated with a malty, soft, texture showing high attenuation. Biscuits, grain, sweat and dough show the malt and yeast while the hops add moderate bitterness, pineapple and light lemon-lime. Great stuff as usual, from Proc and a nice change of pace from the cloudy, intense juice bombs, yet it’s not fully a West Coast IPA either.
