Draught at Lord Hobo, 2/1/17.
Moderately to moderately-high haziness, though not soupy here. Bright golden-flax with a firm, dense, white head atop.
Beautiful tropical fruits are lush and soft in the nose and backed by honey-accented base malts, soft minerals from the yeast and water and very light citrus. After one whiff, I’m already digging this hop; seems to be on the very low-end of resin/alpha acid and has only a bit of bright lemon as far as citrus is concerned. Lots of easygoing mango, papaya and passion fruit, otherwise. Clean, no alcohol.
Juicy, maybe not explosively so, but with ample polished malts providing a soft, supple texture in concert with tight carbonation. Just a hint of green, spicy, vegetal hop character keeps the brightness up and waves of mango, passion fruit and papaya linger on the finish. Soft, very drinkable, good attenuation and no resin or heavy grapefruit/pine. Awesome addition to the series and really excited to try more of this hop.
