750mL growler filled 10/14/16 and shared by Blisscent on 10/21/16.
Strong haziness to this drab, bronze-golden body. White head atop is full and shows good retention.
Citrus in the nose is followed by softer tropical fruits. Peachy and mango-heavy, it returns to the citrus on the finish, lending white grapefruit and lemon. Cracker and biscuit malts behind are quite sparse and there is only a touch of honey for sweetness. Clean and with no alcohol. Maybe a touch of light, grapefruit-like resin.
Very dry with a soft, malty texture and with grainy, biscuity notes and wheat softness as well. The citrus outdoes the juicier tropical notes, and there’s a bit of huskiness on the finish. Nectarine, mango, grapefruit and orange dominate, with moderate bitterness and tons of dry grapefruit rind character. A bit more malt sweetness would work wonders here. Low, slightly loose carbonation and no alcohol or flaw.
