Draught at the brewery, 8/25/16.
Hazy indeed, with a fiery, burnished copper and deep orange color to it. Off-white head atop is large and slowly falls to cover.
Bright orange juice, honey and ruby red grapefruit is quite fragrant in the nose. Very, very citrusy, with a touch of light mango/pineapple...but mostly citrus. Alcohol is well-concealed and though the malts are strong, they add rich honey which deepens the juiciness here.
In the mouth it’s fairly sweet, with soft malt and wheat providing ample, soft texture and a fairly engaging carbonation keeping things fairly crisp. Strawberry and cherry enter the mix in the flavor, with ruby red and more orange and tangerine juice-like notes. Bitterness comes late and does help balance, somewhat, though I could see a bit more being even more beneficial here. Clean, though and with no alcohol noted.
