Can, undated, drunk 3/30/18.
Pale orange-tangerine, moderately hazy, though not messy/soupy. White head atop is large and well-retained.
Pineapple announces the Citra up front as it slowly gains nectarine juice and light pine. Don't really get a ton of distinct Galaxy. Kind of seems like Galaxy is easily dominated by other hops as the Citra seems much more prominent here. Perhaps they just didnt use a lot of Galaxy, in proportion. Anyways, the orange peel is well-done, adding marmalade and spicy rind character without heavily floral notes. Pine continues to grow, though it doesn't feel intensely resinous. Malts are sparse, cracker-heavy and don't add much in the way of sweet honey-like character that you often get from this style. No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it's surprisingly light, but bitter and very dry, with biscuit and cracker adding very little malt depth. There's enough soft, almost chewy character to provide texture, though. This definitely feels like a different yeast than they normally use. Not the "Tree House"-derived, fruity, bubble gum and watermelon that you get from their other IPAs. Despite its haze, this doesn't feel anything like a NE IPA. Dry, pine and grapefruit-forward and VERY bitter. It's a good bitterness, if you're in to that sort of thing, not an acidic resin, but it's still too much for me. Tight carbonation and no alcohol or flaw. Citrus and pine bitterness for days. Can respect it, though I don't love it.

Pours cloudy orange into a shaker. Bright white head with little retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Tangerine and mint aromas. Soft with mint and mango upfront turning to dusty resin in the lasting finish.
