Crowler canned 3/10/18, drunk 3/11/18.
Lightly hazy, bright, lemon pulp yellow body with a hint of amber. Well-carbonated and showing a large, white head that slowly falls to cover.
Tons of white pepper phenol in the nose shares room with biscuity wheat/spelt. Seemingly quite dry and not overdone on the hops, which impart mostly woody, green, lightly spicy notes and plentiful lemon. Clove picks up a bit on the finish and there is no alcohol or flaw.
Very dry, as expected, in the mouth, but with great depth to the malt and chewy, wheat and spelt-like textures, as well. Tight carbonation which disperses plentiful white pepper and clove about the palate. Lemon juice-like hop character imparts low-to-moderate bitterness and there is strong cracker and grain lingering. No alcohol or flaw, yet a bit more clove than I'd like in a beer.
