Canned 12/12/17, drunk 1/13/18.
Lightly hazy, blonde-golden with a slight copper tint. Good-sized, white head showing moderate retention.
Light tropical fruit and strong pineapple; very Citra-forward with light, but mostly scallion/garlic-free Mosaic supporting. Orange, pine, leafy green and spicy notes have just a hint of resin, with low alcohol though some hotter esters. Malts show good depth and provide competent, balancing honey-like notes.
In the mouth it's soft, quite dry, malty and well-carbonated with leafy, green pine, strawberry, melon and pineapple. Not flashy or overly yeasty, nor is it incredibly juicy, but it's well-done and doesn't lean too heavily on the NE IPA style, despite obviously being mostly influenced by it. Cracker, biscuit, bright red and yellow fruits linger. Nice. Competent.
