Can at home. Been wanting to try these guys for years. Black pour rather still and a fine head. Nose is charred wood and some chocolate. Tastes of dark chocolate, earth, ash, rootbeer. Smooth alate some faint bitters.

Draught at the brewery, 12/16/17.
Dark brown-mahogany-ebony. Tan head atop shows moderate retention. Undetermined clarity.
Light, earthy, fruity coffee notes in the nose are joined by clean malts and low roast character. Just a bit of light caramel, milk chocolate and fruity yeast, with a clean finish free from alcohol.
In the mouth it's soft and shows great malt depth and low specialty malt/roasted barley character. Substantial, malty texture and firm, mild carbonation with no alcohol, low roast and pleasing fruity, caramel and vanilla notes throughout. Snappy, crisp, dry yet malty enough to satisfy on the finish. Hearkening back to a time when stouts didnt have a bunch of crap in them. Nice.

Pours a dark, oily, cola-black, with minimal head. Aroma has coffee, burnt toast, roasted grain, nuts. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, nuts, roasted grain, dark fruit (just a hint). It's a very dry beer with almost no sweetness. Pretty smooth and only slightly bitter. My can says this has 7.6% ABV, not the 5.8 listed in the entry...A good one.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a dark brown color with a finger’s worth of tan foamy head. Light messy lace.
The aroma takes on a combination of roasted coffee beans, vanilla bean, and some milk chocolate.
The flavor, once again, blends all of the previously mentioned aromas - sweet to roast for a fantastic balance. Nicely done smooth sweet to roasty aftertaste strolling into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation and ABV both felt right where they’re supposed to be.
Overall, nicely done stout well worthy of having again.
