Deep auburn-to-light mahogany, very light haziness and a dark beige head atop showing moderate retention.
Bready malts mix with strong esters of banana and light vanilla. Malt-forward but not "sweet" or "sugary" based on the nose. The specialty malts aren't overdone and the alcohol is well-concealed. Little/no hop character; perhaps just very light spice or herbal notes.
Soft, malty and well-attenuated in the mouth, it grows sweeter with just a bit of honey and strong melanoidins as it warms. Yeast isn't brutish but is full of banana and light clove, keeping things dry and estery. Light chocolate, honey, brown bread and biscuity wheat linger alongside very light alcohol warmth and plentiful esters.
