Fairly fresh (no more than a month old) can drunk 10/19/17.
Bright, magenta-tinged, pink body shows off the beautiful hibiscus color. Quite hazy and with a beige/pink head atop showing low retention.
Earthy, leathery, lightly spicy, even tart, hibiscus is clear and forward in the nose, but not overdone. Lightly juicy tangerine, meyer lemon and orange rind helps balance and provide hoppy goodness, while biscuity, lightly sweet malts soften things and provide a good backdrop. No alcohol, resin or flaw.
In the mouth it's soft, slick, and shows good attenuation and low but engaging carbonation. Tons of hibiscus flavor alongside the hops, giving a real tropical, tart, juicy feel to the beer. Succulent bitterness/acidity lies on the end, with earth, leather, lemonskin and biscuit and honey-like malts. Quite nice, though I guess I'm kinda partial to hibiscus in beer (??).
