Draught at Bayberry, 10/7/17.
Quite hazy, not soupy, lemon skin-golden with a dense, medium-sized, well-retained head atop.
Lovely, subtly spicy, lemon, lime, mango and vibrant tangerine mix with more mineral-driven white wine-like notes. The aroma starts off light and subdued and slowly but very rewardingly opens up to clean, resin and pine-free Galaxy juice, spice and mineral while Citra contributes juicy and spicy citrus and light pineapple. Malts show sparse cracker and light biscuit, staying out of the way. No alcohol or flaw.
Soft, "chewy" texture shows ampke, well-attenuated malt. Lime, passion fruit and guava mix with dry pineapple and juicy orange. Tight carbonation propels Galaxy spiciness about while gentle citrus bitterness easily balances the malt. Phenomenally resin and pine free. A wonderful expression of the Galaxy hop which is a real joy when done well, as it is here.
