Draught at Bukowski's Boston, 9/28/17.
Moderately hazy, bright, copper-bronze-maize. Off-white head atop quickly recedes to cover.
Juicy pineapple and light papay-mango quickly mixes with strong red grapefruit and orange marmalade. Pretty sparse malting, showing light honey-caramel and moderate biscuit, balancing easily and not interrupting the force of the hops. Very light pine resin on the end is mostly benign and it's low on alcohol apparency, as well.
Juicy mango, pineapple and strong peach-papaya evolve in to orange rind, grapefruit and light pine. Yet before it can grow bitter/resinous, the malt both softens and dulls the blow. Alcohol shows through very lightly, with lingering spicy, leafy, green PNW hops and a bit of juice and sweet malt. Soft texture and appropriately engaging carbonation. Strong attenuation, as well. Nice. These guys have a bright future ahead.
