Draft at the brewery, 1/15/19. Soft, peachy-rose-golden. Good-sized, white head shows moderate retention.
Nice balance of base malt and cracker mixing with light citrus, bits of pineapple and soft, fruity esters of pear and apple. Touch of acidity on the end adds to the brightness and there's no alcohol or flaw noted.
More pale ale like than saison, with lightly juicy citrus complementing honey-like malts alongside tight carbonation and good attenuation. Clean, soft and crisp on the end with cracker and light hop acidity. Some very light mineral from the yeast but certainly could stand to have much more saison character, though otherwise the beer is clean, balanced and quite flavorful.
