Draught at the brewery, 12/23/18.
Heavily hazy, soupy, maize-bronze-golden NE IPA appearance though with a larger head showing better retention than most.
Juicy nose surprises me that it's these three hops. I respect Citra but don't expect these semi-tropical and orange juice/tangerine juice notes from the others, much less all three. Fruity yeast and very light bubble gum with honey and biscuit malts easily supporting. Very aromatic, bright and hoppy with no doughy yeast or resin/alcohol.
In the mouth it's soft, extremely comforting on the palate with rich honey notes drying out appropriately towards the finish. Tight carbonation and intensely juicy hop notes of meyer lemon, mango, pineapple, orange and nectarine. Again, shocked that they've got so much juice out of these hops, though heavy Citra additions could explain that. Very malty, yet well-attenuated. Gets better and better with warming. Lingering lime and grapefruit zest keep some acidity in the mix and keeps the balance up as juiciness increases. Incredible stuff for a brand new brewery.
