From Foundation Brewing Company and Springdale – the melding of a traditional Hefeweizen with the body and soul of a festbier. Prost!

Canned 7/14, drunk 9/22/18.
Lightly hazy sort of cidery-weizen pour with the head fizzling away instantly. Canary to gold color.
Hefe yeast is prominent in the nose showing banana and mild clove. Some light, herbal hops, vanilla and honey malts continue to give the impression of a hefe.
Spicy yeast with a helles-like texture and body, indeed. Honey, herbs, light-to-moderate bitterness, the hefe character intensifying the hops via pepper and clove. Soft and malty, low, hefe-like carbonation. Basically all the qualities of a hefe yeast without all the chewy wheat-like textures. Maybe they fermented it a little cooler or crashed it sooner? I don't know. Seems like they were successful in what they were aiming for. Clean and malty, hard to complain.
