Can from Nejames, drunk 7/20/18.
Thoroughly hazy, bronze-maize-brass. Off-white head fades steadily to a ring.
Light strawberry acidity mixing with leafy, green, spicy pine and light grapefruit. Seems like some specialty malt in there, perhaps? That or light oxidation. Seems real bready and caramel-accented. Not overdone on the vanilla or lactose. Not really juicy, though. More piney-tart.
In the mouth it's quite malt-forward, with bread, pretzel, caramel and such leading to a strong PNW hop schedule that shows more lemon, grapefruit and pine than anything else. Not really juicy, at least the hops aren't, though there is some light strawberry juice character alongside plentiful acidity. Well-attenuated and not messy on the yeast character. Kinda feels like a West Coast IPA with the milkshake treatment, which is fine, though I was expecting more NE IPA characteristics.
