Draught at Brewer's Tap and Table, 6/27/18.
Clear, mahogany-auburn with a medium-sized, dark beige head atop showing strong retention.
Fruity yeast with nutty specialty malts that don't take things too far (no big bread, iced tea, pretzel, wood, etc...). Lightly herbal hops brighten things somewhat. Seems dry with a good minerality and excellent cleanliness.
Doesn't disappoint in the mouth. Super clean with snappy hops balancing a soft maltiness and good dryness throughout. Fruitiness plays against hop and roast bitterness, as well. Tons of flavor for its size, very drinkable with a near-perfect texture/carbonation/balance/attenuation, etc....ALMOST makes you like brown ales. Tons of respect for having the courage to make this beer.

Pours bright mahogany into a shaker. Tan head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Dark caramel and cocoa aromas. Soft with caramel and chocolate front to back and into the medium length finish.
