Draught at the brewery, 4/29/18.
Clear brass-to-bright-orange. Medium-sized, white head showing moderately-strong retention.
Smells very floral with rustic grains, earth, white pepper and light clove. No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it's malty with strong honey overtones balancing dry, black pepper phenols. Good minerality with light earthiness. Not getting any Nelson, however. Light acidity, though this is mostly quite mild and crisp. Some very minor clove in the flavor, with light bready malt, as well, but otherwise this is excellent, showing no alcohol or flaw.
