Today we present B.BRETT-0824, a combination of mixed fermentation beers, with Brett Lambicus & Bruxellensis, matured for 24 months in red wine barrels (Castilla-La Mancha), with a secondary addition of blueberries for 3 months.
It is a beer that develops intense fruity aromas of fresh and ripe blueberries, mixed with subtle notes of cherry and plum.
The different strains of Brettanomyces contribute fruity flavors of ripe critics & tropical fruits with notes of leather, tobacco and earth that make one think of the stable.

A bit of a murky deep red/orange with a thin head. Fruit up from though not heavy on the blueberries. More of a generic berry profile. Some oak, red wine, a hint of lime, and some light sourness. Medium bodied. Finish is medium with light tart cherry and some oak. It approaches being really fascinating but just doesn’t get over the hump.
